Introduction

A forensic science provider had a requirement for a suite of ten new forensic laboratories. The cleanrooms, each with entrance lobby, were to be constructed over two floors within an existing industrial unit. Clean Air Technologies were responsible for the design and construction of the suite to meet ISO 14644 Class 7, together with the specification, installation of Air Handling and Conditioning plant, and fit out with Laboratory Furniture.

Project Overview

• Design of specialist air system and envelope
• Installation of Cleanroom Envelope, Mechanical and Electrical Services
• Construction of Laboratory envelopes, Lobbies, and Corridors utilising PIR panel system
• New Vinyl flooring through out
• Cleanroom high acquity lighting achieving 900lux requirement
• Dedicated Air Handling Unit, Condensing Units / Heat Pumps and Trend Control System contained within new Plant Area
• Lab and Lobby pressures monitored on Magnehelic gauge panel
• New furniture including benching, pigeon holes, cupboards and sink vanity units
• Labs cleaned and validated to ISO 14644 Class 7
