Due to the consolidation of operations, our client had a requirement for a new ISO 8 Cleanroom Facility and adjacent support areas for the manufacture and testing of specialist electronic components.

The Cleanroom suite was constructed on the ground floor of an existing building at their current site. The facility consisted of a large ISO8 Cleanroom, Technical Lab, Bonded Store, Change Lobby and Goods In / Breakdown Area.

Conditioned air is provided into a sealed ceiling void plenum from any two of three upflow air handling units which are located within the Cleanroom. A bespoke Trend control system manages the temperature and humidity of the cleanroom together with the run and standby control of the AHUs. The conditioned air is introduced from the plenum into the Cleanroom through ceiling mounted H14 HEPA filter fan units.

The installation also consisted of :-
